Describe the Night

Production Stage Manager

Describe the Night was part of Baylor Theatre's 2024-2025 Mainstage Season and is one of my favorite plays. The show had a lot of challenges to work out, as the show called for many jumps through time and space. There were 9 different scenic configurations that were completely crew-managed, which required my ASM and I to really think through how we taught 6 first-year students. In addition to these shifts, the largest challenge was the fall of the Berlin Wall sequence, in which the entire 16' foot backdrop fell to the "Welcome to the Jungle."
